In the next few weeks, I’ll have completed all of the artwork for the self-publication of my first book. I’ll display the cover here and go ahead and let you know I’ve entitled it Sock It to Me, Baby. It’s pretty much official that I’m running myself a little business now. I’ve been working on that for a few months and I’m in the process of partnering with a partner to do a series of other whatnots. Other than work, this little business of mine and talking smack, that’s pretty much what’s happening on this end.
Today, I’m displaying a collage of portrait design work. Outside of pen and ink, these are all the mediums I use to compose portraits, which I’ve incorporated as part of my little business and have a handful of commissions. When I say mediums, I mean oil, watercolors and the lot. Next year, I look forward to having a series of characters from my own head hosting this blog, so you’ll hear from other folk on occasion. If you wanna know about some real characters that have been in my life, visit Real Life Folks. I kid you not, I only exaggerated a little.
Well, I’m getting on the hungry side and need to eat something before I get mad. Enjoy the holiday, folks.

Inspiring. That’s what you are, TM….inspiring.
It keeps me breathing a little easier to create. Thank you.
You are soooooooo talented!!!!!!!
Thanks, LeFemme. It’s been a long road.
Totsy, this is wonderful news! I can’t wait to see it/buy it! Congratulations.
Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving. Glad you’re back here from the middle of the east in time for turkey!

I will. And thank you. Hope your day was celebratory with all the fixings.
Nice work…..wish I could be that artistic……happy holiday…
Thanks. Your artistry is in the kitchen. I told you, you should do a cookbook with all of your travels. Hope you had a nice holiday.
Good luck on the business. I love your artwork…and the verbal ‘business’ ya give us. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks, Hansi. And you’re always one to give back some good verbal feedback. The wifey must be one of good humor also.
Enjoy the holiday.
Ooooo VERY much looking forward to the book TM.. you are a very talented writer.. and painter naturally!
Thank you. I’m looking to have it out by Christmas as a present to myself.
What exciting news! Congratulations, Totsy – I’m already lined up for my copy.
Hope your Thanksgiving was a happy one and you got to the food before you got mad!
Cool.
My Thanksgiving was great. I ate a tad much. Not too happy about that. Hope you and yours are well.
Man! Moss hasn’t got a chance of growing under your feet. Well done. So glad you aren’t hiding your light under the proverbial bushel, Tots!
I am familiar with moss, so I’ve got ground to cover.
You’ve finally stopped hiding behind the virtual bush, I see.
Have I been hiding? I’ve been converting to a Mac, organizing a meditation group, walking or aquafitting daily and wondering about inviting a man into my life. That’s a lot for a Canadian Cowgirl!
Very nice, Totsy. It’s about time. I just adore your portraits!
Thanks, Monica. I’ve had some strange hours in getting these things done. I’m worn out today.
Beautiful as usual. Congratulations on your book. It’s such a wonderful “I kick butt” feeling to publish my own work and no doubt you will feel the same. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you. Writing takes a lot of energy, so if kick butt is a feeling to have after publishing, I’m all for that. I just came up with the concept for my book trailer today. Crazy, it’ll be.
Neat. I look forward to seeing it.
I love the portraits! I am so excited for you and can’t wait to make a purchase!
Thanks, Valentine. I’m almost there.
These are gorgeous! You, my dear, will go very far, you have raw talent, gumption and know how!
Thanks. Now to figure out the promo part of it.
Tots,
Love Love Love X
