A Saturday Stroll with Soul

Hey, it’s Saturday and music’s on the menu. Gotta love it. I know I do. I’m gonna make my way to the little studio and see what the sounds lead me to creating. My time’s short and I know you’ve got your little family to tend and need to put in that quality time and all. I’m trying to handle a li’l somethin’ somethin’ on my end too. In my neck of the woods, it’s clear and sunny and you know, I get another chance…Hope you like the video.

Thanks Totsymae, your art exhibited to a league of nations (London/Norway/Nigeria/Argentina and Columbia) at “The Fantastic Plastic Cafe”. A few writers, bloggers and designers at the cafe, early Sunday a.m. I drop into your site and turn-up the sound, play the video and va-vroom shoulder-surfers join me watching your art video. Totsy Mae, amazing. I didn’t want the video to end. The collection of clothing, assembled on the bench like rags but still feeling representative of a homeless person, made me react emotionally as if it were one. How insanely imaginative was that? You have a deep sense of truth and daring in your painting.

  Glad you were able to view the video this time. That piece you
  mentioned was my first serious attempt at sculpting. Had to learn
  power tools (building the bench) and start sewing again for this
  one. Long process for sculpting. Glad you enjoyed it.

I love your artistically creative mind at work. Tell me, other than Aaliyah, do you sketch these characters with real people in mind or are they just people created out of your imagination?

  for you. Even when I’m not in the best of spirits, when I paint, I try to
  paint something that will make me feel that way, to bring me out of the
  slush of bad feelings., so I’m extra happy that I make you happy with
  my work.

I have to agree – there is sooo much talent here! Congratulations on your awesome collection. And, can I say I was enjoying that music, too? I’m really envious of people who have creative talent because I don’t really have any, with exception of some photography. So indeed you have some enviable creations.
